Advocacy Services

Autism Directions is made up of professionals that have experience with children to adults with Autism.  Since this is a spectrum disorder, you need to be sure your loved one is supported with people who understand the intricacies of this spectrum disorder. 

One of our services is advocacy.  At the school level and to acquire life skills and independence.  Place your trust with an organization that has been through this experience with our own children.

 

Services include:

  • Attend and participate in meetings, and school and free time events
  • Assistance in writing goals and being sure goals fit
  • Make phone calls to schools, district personnel
  • Write letters to schools, district personnel
  • Provide coaching, consultation, & strategic development for attaining supports & services
  • Serve as a liaison between families and schools
  • Assess children in home and schools
  • Assess current and potential educational placements
  • Provide educational recommendations
  • Research related educational topics
